The Invisible Diseases Day of Visibility began as a one-day event, every June 6th, raising hope and awareness as we celebrated the heroism of Invisible Diseases survivors. After many years, we realized that one day per year was simply not enough awareness and hope for this community!
Now we have created a new event, and a new platform! The Invisible Diseases Day of Visibility is transitioning into a monthly podcast! So every single month, there will be more hope, more awareness, and more stories of our honored Visible Heroes!
In our fun and inspirational new podcast, we will come together as one large family across the globe to raise awareness and hope, praising all of the heroic people who live with Invisible Diseases.
When you are living with the daily struggles of Invisible Diseases, you are a survivor. -And when you are a survivor, a caregiver, or an advocate, you are a hero. Here at Invisible Diseases, we honor the heroic survivors, caregivers and advocates. We know how important it is to have validation and to find purpose in one’s suffering.
Nominate your Visible Hero to be featured on the show!
The process is easy, fun, and of course free to participate in. Record a 1 - 5 minute message and submit it to the producers of the show! The Visible Hero can be the person who lives (or lived) with the invisible disease in their body, or an amazing support or caregiver for the person with the invisible disease.
To nominate someone to be on the show, include the following 3 components in your recording:
1. Names
Your Name and Your Visible Hero’s name
2. The Invisible Disease(s)
What invisible disease they are impacted by
3. The Story
Tell us a 1 - 5 minute recorded story about why the person you are nominating to be featured on the show is a true Visible Hero!
This is a lot of fun, and it helps to raise hope and awareness for people around the world living with Invisible Diseases! We are not alone, and sometimes we need to hear that! Literally. As we always say; tell your stories! That is how others will know that we need help getting through this, and it also tells the world about how amazing Invisible Diseases survivors really are!
HOW TO SUBMIT:
Email your voice recording to us at info@InvisibleDiseases.com with the subject as “Day Of Visibility Podcast.”
{Voice recordings can be done through most cell phones and then ‘shared’ through email, directly from your phone to your desired email.}
NAME AND RELEASE DATE OF THE SHOW:
We are in the early production phase right now and will announce the opening date and final name of the podcast in the coming months.
